What is sunscreen?  A cream or lotion rubbed onto the skin to protect it from the sun. An active ingredient in creams, lotions and other preparations for skin.      What sunscreen should I use? 1. Broad-spectrum protection (protects against UVA and UVB rays). 2. Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 30 or greater. 3. Water resistance. A sunscreen that offers the above helps to protect your skin from sunburn, early skin aging, and skin cancer. However, sunscreen alone cannot fully protect you.
